Nasdaq, the NYSE and DTCC are moving shares, ETFs and Treasuries onto blockchain rails. In this 25-minute session, Drew Bradford, CEO of Macropod, explains what tokenisation means in plain English and why stablecoins are the cash that makes faster, cheaper, around-the-clock markets possible. You'll leave knowing what's changing in global markets and what it means for Australian retail investors: access, speed, lower costs and the risks to watch for. You'll also hear where Australia stands and how to tell a real tokenised asset from one that only tracks a price.

I want the audience to leave thinking: “I want more control over my money and my time, and Metamining may offer a way to explore that through Bitcoin and crypto mining.” My message starts with what matters to them. I want people to reflect on their family, their memories and the future they want to build. Financial decisions should support that life. Having worked offshore, I understand the trade between earning an income and spending time with the people you love. That experience shaped why we are building Metamining. I want the audience to understand the personal purpose behind the business. I want them to see mining as a tangible operation they can assess. Through the Bitcoin and Scrypt examples, they should understand how equipment produces coins, how electricity and fees affect the economics, and why revenue alone does not tell the whole story. I want them to recognise the value we aim to provide through equipment selection, infrastructure and ongoing operational support. Our 0.6% pool fee is one part of that equation. Reliable operations, clear reporting and complete costs also matter. The audience should understand that hosted mining can make participation more accessible. We manage the practical work, while customers retain important decisions about their assets and what they do with the coins they receive. I want our experience across mining cycles to give people confidence in how we approach the work. We have made mistakes, learned from them and developed our systems. I want people to judge us by our transparency and how we operate when conditions become difficult. Most importantly, I want them to feel informed enough to take the next step: speak with us, examine a complete cost comparison and consider whether mining fits their goals. The takeaway I want is: “These people understand mining, they understand why my time matters, and they are willing to show me the numbers so I can make an informed decision.”

Australia is entering a new phase: crypto businesses face higher regulatory expectations, while policymakers are creating new pathways for innovation in tokenisation, digital assets and AI-enabled financial services. How can crypto businesses meet rising regulatory expectations without adding friction for customers or slowing innovation? In this session, M Sivakumar, APAC Legal Director at Sumsub, explores how reusable identity and Travel Rule compliance fit into the bigger picture—and what regulated maturity means for the future of crypto in Australia.

Stablecoins aren't competing with banks and card networks so much as running through them. Visa now settles some payments in stablecoins and carries stablecoin-linked cards on its network. Bank Frick, a Liechtenstein bank, holds and moves stablecoins for its clients under Europe's rules. RelayPay lets Australians pay bills and send money to any bank account using crypto. Together we take a look at what is happening overseas, what Australia is doing, and where the next partnerships will come from. You'll leave knowing what's working now and what it means for Australia.

This isn't a session about which coins to buy. It's for people who already hold crypto, earn a strong income, and want to know how it fits alongside the mortgage, the share portfolio and the super balance without blowing up the rest of the plan. For a lot of high earners, crypto started as a small punt and has grown into a bigger slice of their net worth than they ever planned. That's where the questions change. Once a position is big enough to matter, the decisions that move your result are about how much you hold, how it's held and what happens when you sell. The May budget makes those decisions more important. The rules have changed, and it’s made getting ahead with your money harder. There are still a heap of opportunities to make your money work harder, but only if you know how to use the rules to your advantage. We'll look at how much is too much for someone earning $200k plus, how crypto sits alongside the rest of a wealth plan, and what the 2027 tax changes mean for anyone sitting on gains. You'll leave with a clear framework for deciding how crypto fits into your broader plan and how to stress-test the position you already have. What you'll learn How to work out how much crypto makes sense alongside a mortgage, shares and super on a $200k+ income What the 2027 capital gains tax changes mean for anyone sitting on crypto gains Why the structure you hold crypto in matters more after the May budget How to think about taking profits and rebalancing without a nasty tax bill A simple framework to stress-test the crypto position you already have
